Just bought a new (2 me) '04 Vulcan 1500 Classic. Nice bike. Previous owner put a bunch of Arlen Ness accessories on it. Only problem is that the three dash lights below the speedo are unlabled. There are two reds on either side and a green in center. Now I know the green is the turn signal abd the right hand red is Oil, but what does the left red light mean? Over temp? Check Engine?, something else? I really don't wanna buy the manual to figure out what the silly light means! LOL

On my 2006, the lights under the speedo are, left to right, Neutral, Turn Signal, High Beam.
Inside the speedo, at the bottom, are LED's for Low Fuel, Water Temp, Oil, and FI.

TX for the quick reply! :)

Seems like you've got more indicators than I have!

Here's a pic if that will help

THe three lights under the speedo are what I'm looking to finger out. The middle is turn, the right is Oil, but the left one has me stumped ...

Just bought and brought back to life a 1998 Vulcan 1509 classic that sat in a backyard in the weather partly for I'm sure a full decade. Brought a tear to NY eye when a friend who bought ac2010 Harley Sportster 1609 a month ago thought get was going to dominate my Vulcan on name recognition alone. It was no natch at all. Like racing a 21 speed Mt bike with a tricycle. He tried me 8-10 tines over the course of a day but ii let him jump out the throttled halfway and flew by him like he'd let go of his throttle. I had no idea these Vulcans were this powerful or thus fast. Love my Vulcan. Wouldn't rode it for a harley. I do have a question though. Sane friend keeps mentioning that I should remove my baffels. Can anyone tell be the pros and cons if doing this. I know in a car you can damage the valves. Does not the same apply?
