DO you know the Year and model of your machine?
As a starting point the bulb may be burned out.
Are there any other marker lights not working? If so then a fuse or wire, likely a ground, is poorly connected or not at all

 

Hi Smokey. Need a little more information. Is it the light that illuminates the speedometer face or the odometer led section that went dark? I know you have a 2000. If it is the odometer section will probably need a new speedometer. The OEM part number is 28011-0140 and is available for the bargain price of $462. If you search for a used unit, they are the same from 2004 to 2009. Please be cognizant that whatever mileage is on the used speedo will be the mileage that shows when installed on the bike.
