just got a bike that has been in storage for 18 years. it looks like a new one . replaced tires and about to clean out gas tank before trying to start it. also to change oil and filter. any advice on fuel injection cleaning.

In my shop we generally just disconnect the lines, blow them out with compressed air, clean the tanks but really take our time. I recommend Chevron Techron or BG 44K concentrated. I will put around and then do some hard WOT acceleration to get the injector in full duty. Not any harder than that. I run only non ethanol in my 2002 and will either run injector clean every couple of months or even a tea spoon of Acetone for maintenance.
