Wish Me Luck!

Tomorrow after a quick stop at the BMV to freshen up the plates on my trailer I am headed out on a 3hr journey (6hr total) to get my New 2013 Vulcan 900 classic. I think I have all my ducks in a row so as long as the bank and the dealer can work everything out in a timely fashion, I will be bringing her home tomorrow. I have a bad feeling something is going to go wrong, but I have done all I can do. Called the dealer, called the bank, called the insurance company.... Don't know what else I can do but hope it works out. That's the only problem with driving to another city to purchase a bike, you just never know.

Good Luck. You gonna ride it home or putting it on a trailer?
Given the forecast for tomorrow and the fact that there is over 2 hard hours of 75mph speed limit highway between the dealer and my house, trailer is the best option. Wouldn't want to put a brand new motor through that. Mostly I just don't want to ride 3 hours in the cold.

Smart move...hope it all works out for you.
Enjoy your new scoot.
At the dealer now filling out paperwork!
You'd better be posting pics real soon! Good luck.
Well long story short, its home in my garage! Having trouble uploading pics from my phone. Will get some up soon.

First Pics!

Ok here are some shots of the Vulcan. 0 Miles on the ODO. .1 on the trip meter. I think the coolest part was being able to stand by the bike when the dealer started it up for the first time ever. Not exactly a graceful start but cool none the less. This is my third new bike and it never gets old. More pics and some farkles to go on soon. Anybody have a good lead on a place to get the factory backrest?

Right now I just want to get the backrest with luggage rack then just replace or upgrade things as needed.

Did anyone take their bike in at the 500 mile service to get the spoke tension checked? That seems to be the only thing I probably cant do myself.

Nice looking bike. It will be interesting to see how you go about personalizing this one. Certainly a great canvas to begin with. Congrats.:good::good:
Very nice bike.I don't think you will need to worry about the spoke tension on these bikes.
Congrats.. Good looking bike dude
Congrats on the new bike! You're going to love that bike.
Thanks guys. Trying to pick out a sissy bar right now. The cobra short looks like the winner at the moment. Forecast just changed for the weekend. If the weather holds out I might be able to take her out for a spin.
Another photo!

Here is another pic of the bike sitting in my busy garage. Need it to warm up so I can clean that thing out!!

I personally like the look of the oem sissy bar and luggage rack. They match fit and finish perfectly with each other. I found all the P/N's needed and was able to get what I needed from Amazon at the best price. Good luck and enjoy customizing your new scoot!
I really like that paint scheme on the classic. that would have been my choice if i wasn't so in love with my custom.

Yea the classic was sitting right next to the custom but the price tag was almost $1800 lower. It was a no brainer. $1800 for farkles!!!!!

I can recommend the National Cycle Paladin rack - really solid and well-made. The quick release system is great too if your usage means you'll be taking it on and off frequently.
Update: After many hours browsing the web and looking at pictures i ordered the cobra short sissy bar, cobra luggage rack, cobra highway bars, and OEM passenger floorboards. Stage 1 pics should be up some time next week.
