Hi everyone, I have a 97 VN800 and I'm trying to find out what is the widest rear tire that I can install without having to replace the swingarms. If anyone has any info, please HELP. Thanx.

Been riding a 160/80/16 (dunlop k177) on my 95 vn800...took off the 140/90/16. I removed my saddlebags and did not check to see how much deeper the screws fit inside fender....result was they cut my old tire. So I went larger. No problems.,,other than adjusting to the feel on turns. But looks nice!

In addition, a wider rear tire held one line driving in the rain, eliminating the jump of a skinny tire. A wider tire can also facilitate the transfer of engine power, equipment Moreover, loans have increased acceleration and last minute, and more stability at high speed. A wide rear tire holds the wheel aligned with the front wheel on lap.
