Where would a good place to lift the bike be at to get the rear lifted to loosen the two bolts in the lowering arm to relocate them to the 3 inch spot??? All i have is a single floor jack and a bottle jack and one extra person

I bought a motorcycle jack from harbor freight (the red one). I had to modify it a bit to narrow the lifting points so that they would fit between the rocker arm and the little cast piece that sticks off the bottom of the engine casting. Basically, you want her to rest on the frame rails, not the engine. You can't just pick up the back end unless you have some way of holding the front tire in place.
