Currently running a full helmet and a set of AirPod pros however for shorter around town trips I’d like to ditch the full helmet so I’m looking for radio recommendations so I’m not losing expensive AirPods right now the only thing I have electrical is a quad lock wireless charger so electrical shouldn’t be much of an issue especially with the power saved from switching to an led headlight

Not a big selection for the 900 due to mounting options, unless you have a batwing fairing with the inner dash.
I have the Boss Audio Systems MCBK470B. Using only 2 of the 4 speakers currently. It’s mediocre, fine for around town. I got tired of the in helmet systems crappy speakers and got the boss audio on a flash sale for cheap.

I installed the Rockville Rock n Ride speakers last year. I have a half hour highway commute to work so wanted some music. In the city the speakers are loud enough but on the highway I have to have them full volume and even then it's hard to hear sometimes depending on how windy it is. The sound quality is pretty decent but definitely a little light on bass but wasn't expecting great quality for what I paid.

It comes with a remote and plenty of options for music(bluetooth, aux, usb). The downside to all those options is there are lots of cables to deal with. I ended up buying a cheap handlebar bag to put everything in. There were mixed reviews on whether it kills your battery even though there is a power button on the remote so I figured I'd try connecting it to the battery first. After a few days my battery was dead so installed a Fuzeblocks to hook it up to. Now it powers down when the bike is turned off. And if I decide to add any other electrical accessories I can just run them into that instead of to the battery.

I use a similar Cardo helmet unit. (Freecom 4+) It's out of production.

Has speakers that mount full time in the helmet, so you don't have the aggravation of messing with ear buds. The dongle that fits on the helmet has a volume control so you can adjust it with your thumb as you ride. As mentioned above, the volume is speed sensitive so It gets louder the faster you go..

It comes with a microphone that lets you make/receive calls with your paired phone, or talk to other riders with similar units, but I'm not interested in that. I just listen to tunes. The microphone is still in the box.

Plus.. The Cardo helmet dongle battery lasts all day.. (They claim up to 13 hrs).. Great for long rides. Best I could ever do with my Jabra ear buds was 3-4 hours.

Samsung Galaxy and helmet chips. Earbuds, chips or an audio helmet are the only things that make sense on motorcycles.

Edit- I went back and edited out the reasons that I, and everyone I've ever talked to, hate motorcycles with audio systems. Ask your non-motorcycle friends what they think about pulling up next to one at a light.

Lol I felt the same way before I got a motorcycle. Personally I don't think it's practical to have a sound system unless it's a show bike. The road and wind noise, as well as other vehicles, just drown out all the best parts of the song unless you crank it up so loud that the whole neighborhood can hear.

I also like my Cardo system specifically for the mic, as I have had the occasion to make/receive phone calls while on the road. Everyone I've called says it just sounds like I'm answering from a car, so I'm pretty impressed with the system. Going 80mph down I-10 and being able to hole a conversation over the phone without sounding bad, impressive. And this was without a windscreen. Since then I've gotten a windscreen but I'm trying to figure out the correct height to set it up so I don't get so much buffeting at higher speeds.
