Not factory according to service manual and Kawasaki IPB. ???
I would replace them but does anyone know if the bolt for the cap can be easily pulled out of the handlebar so a different type can be used?

There is a hex bolt in the center of the large cap bolt that appears to probably expand the center for a compression fit. I've removed the hex bolt, but do not want to damage anything by pulling it out.

Nope...
Not stock...

Just had the grips off of my 05 Classic ...

Left side has nothing inside the bar to worry about...just a hollow tube.

they look stock to me to!
if not why would someone replace stock grips with something that mimics the stock grip?
the threads in the end are for when the bars are made the pressurize them during the bend process to keep free of kinks the other side has a plate welded inside of it to hold pressure, it was easier for Kawasaki to make end caps that screw on to continue the bike down the assembly line.

Stock grips but on a Nomad

Looks like I have a Nomad handlebar on my Vulcan Classic.

Checked the IPB for a 2007 Nomad -- there it was

Thanks
