I get a lot of road spray on my legs. Bike has highway bars and road pegs. Any good ideas to stop my getting wet other than rain gear?? Windshield lowers or something on the highway bars??

There are engine guard soft lowers on ebay for $70 plus shipping. That will keep most of it off of you.

I really like those. Here is the next question, how can I tell what highway bars I have?

sagebrush will custom make them for you. Call or write them, they'll send you instructions. It's real EZ and they make them exactly to yor pattern. If yor not pleased they will remake them as much as you want no charge. three bikes I ordered new pairs and they were perfect every time. poncho

btw, send them pix they probly kno watt bars you have.
Thanks Ponch

Have to agree with Ponch and Ruaphu about the Sagebrush chaps, they work great. Me and the wife have had them on 4 bikes between us, quick and easy to slip on in the morning and take off when it warms up. We have installed and removed these two or three times a day on some weather challenged days.
I made a fender extension for my front fender. Took a piece of thin gauge steel and cut and rolled it, then had it powder coated. In hind sight I wish I had made it a little longer but it really cuts down on water spray and especially on grime on the radiator cover. Between that and some soft lowers that should really keep your britches dry. I have a pic of it in my photo album.

Chris is awesome, he made mine to my specifications and they came out great. I tell everyone if they want engine guard chaps to go to sagebrush designs, he even called me on a Sunday to get everything the way i wanted. Now that's going above and beyond!!

Yep i got something similar fitted to my front fender but it's made of hard rubber. Stops my radiator. Oil filter, reccy and engine front getting a beating as well as cuts down on spray in the wet.

Well worth doing.
