Does anyone have any tips for waking the bike up after a long winter? Any special maintenance or anything that needs to be done? It has been sitting in my garage since around mid-Oct.

Just working on getting things together for spring. Already have a bunch of cash set aside for bags, a new seat, and new lighting. This is my first winter since I started riding, so I am getting (very) restless. :D

Kinda depends on how you stored it. If you dont have a battery tender on it, give it a slow charge. Be good time to change the oil if not new. Definetly check your tire pressure. Weather was cleaned when put in store or not, give it a good hand wash, looking at everything you wash. Check all your lights for proper operation. If you drained your tank, fill with fresh gas and maybe 3-4 ounces of seafoam or other moisture inhibiter. If you stored it with a partial tank of gas or did not use a fuel stabilizer, drain and refill with fresh gas. When you 1st start it, let it warmup before you take off and check for any leaks and propper operation, runs smooth, takes throttle good. Might be good time to change your brake fluid, and clutch fluid if not cable operated as well.
