Thought you guys might like this. I found this pit bike shock on Amazon and decided to take a chance on it. It fits my 2017 and definitely works better than stock, though I don't have much time on it and haven't played around with the air pressure or spring preload.I had to drill out the top bushing, but otherwise it bolts right up. I got it for just over forty bucks and it's decent. No damping adjustments, but fully rebuild-able. Check it out.

For such a popular bike, I'm so surprised there are so few suspension options. Do we not have any premium options? I had Burly Stilettos on my last bike and they were amazing to balance out some of the back breaking bumps.

It can be all yours for about $800.
New for the KAWASAKI VULCAN S 15-20 - Hyperpro
Expensive, to be blunt. $350 for two versus 800 for one, as a comparison.

Has anyone reviewed them? Do they add more travel or change the height of the bike much?

You asked for premium. :) Those two for $350 are relics, technologically speaking, compared to the single $800 one. If you think that's expensive, check out what a full Ohlins suspension for a sport bike costs. I haven't heard of anyone on here that has been willing to drop that kind of money on it. As for the travel/height. The question isn't does it, it's how much can it. It is a fully adjustable setup. They do sell one that only has rebound and preload adjustment for about $600.
Makes sense. I do know about Ohlins, so then this might be similar. I think Hagon also had a shock too, but finding a distributor was tough.I also don’t know how this one would compare.

I may be one of the first to get one of these, assuming I get the bike I want. Stay tuned.

Raises hand... I bought the fully adjustable Hyperpro for my wife's bike because it's good enough for the application. I've done higher end stuff on my other bikes and IMO I just don't think this bike justifies it. The Hyperpro is good for the price and it offers exactly what this bike needs for having so little travel on the rear.
Just sent an email to Hyper pro to get more info about the available options for the Vulcan S. I'm might be buying one in a few days. I just can't take having to constantly scan the road for bumps that are going to hurt my back. Only bike I've ever had to do that with.
Well after some thought and lots of back pains while riding I finally ordered the Hyper pro 460. Ill be doing a full wrote up about the ordering process, install, and it's performance. Paid $635 for the 460 with black spring, and they set it all up based on weight and several other factors.
Has anybody contacted a mid-priced shock manufacturer like Progressive to see if they make a compatible model? I had a set of theirs on my Indian Scout (Similar laid down style & function as the Vulcan, except dual shocks instead of a single) that I got of eBay for about $150, that made a huge difference. I think it was a model 444 or 414 if I remember correctly. If I have a chance in the next couple days I'll try to reach them.

Edit: I just sent Progressive Suspension an email, and I will post my results when I get a response...

Do you have anymore information on the Hyperpro shock, is your wife's bike a Vulcan S? What do they charge for the Hyperpro and is there anything else that has to done to bike before installing it.
Thanks
