I have Vulcan 1600 MeanStreak 2005 which has around 24,000km on it.

On a recent ride I was changing up from 2 to 3 gear when suddenly i had
no clutch pressure and was unable to change gears and was stuck in neutral.

After pulling over clutch pressure came back after 30minutes but i was still unable to change gears when the bike was running and when it wass off.

The bike was towed to the workshop and the following was done

Clutch fluid replaced
master cylinder inspected - ok
Clutch check - ok

Report back from the mechanic was
it could be a bent shift fork or damage to the shift drum.
Fix is to remove engine from bike to diagnose the problem further which is a very expensive exercise.

The bike has a full service history and was only serviced 4 weeks ago.
I can't find anything on the internet that even comes close to this problem.
Is this common problem or something that could happen to this bike with such low millage?
Any advise on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
