Does anyone have any suggestions for a LOUD horn replacement? I have a 2001 Vulcan 800 and I really am just looking for a loud replacement horn that can mount in the same location with the same mounts. I bought a Stebel Nautilus, but it seems to big to mount on this bike. Thanks for any advise!

I bought the Nautilus and sprayed it satin black (used to be bright red) and stuck it where it wasn't very noticeable at all. It's roughly in the same place and the relay is mounted a little higher (again, sprayed black to hide it). You wouldn't notice it at all unless I pointed it out. Maybe if you sprayed it, it wouldn't stick out as much and not be so present.

what about the space just behind the top of the radiator on either side, you will definitely need to install a relay

Splinte,
You can use the Fiaam highway blaster low tone. It's plug and play and will fit in the original horns place but you will have to remove the rubber bushing on the clamp. No relay required if you use one horn. I don't remember the decibel level but I think it's around 113 dbls. You can find them at a local auto parts store. If you choose to use two horns you will need a relay. If you go to the Fiaam website they have sound samples. Installs in about twenty minutes with a 10 mm socket.

I removed the standard 'beep'-horn for a loud horn from a SAAB that was being demolished. I didn't measure the loudness yet, but I'm sure it goes well over 100dB.

Highway Hawk has a good-looking replacement for the standard horn, but it also does just 'beep'. So it's garbage ...
