Unclear what year and model bike you have. Some of your posts are in the 800 section and one of them mentions a 97 VN1500. Don’t know if you have to take off the side cover. Manual doesn’t show a clear procedure. Looks like might have to. Don’t want to go bending or forcing that pipe to come out. Perhaps another member who has performed this repair will contribute their opinion. Would definitely use only OEM parts. Nothing is more frustrating that using something from the hardware store and it doesn’t work after reassembly. These O ring seals dry out over time. Would do all of them while doing this repair. If one is leaking, it is only a matter of time before another one let’s go. When installing them, have to put some lubricant on them so they don’t twist when reinstalling the pipe.

Hey Kansas, I have the same issue... how did you fix it?

 

What problems are there to fix? Leaked antifreeze. He took off the cover along with the tube, pulled out the tube, replaced the oil seals, put everything back together. 2 glands + cover gasket. Place the motorcycle on the opposite side to avoid draining the oil.
