Handlebars are awkward in full turn mode, way too much pullback....
what aftermarket replacements are being used to cure this problem?

handlebar

They are just too wide(beach bars) Some people trim an inch off both sides and it usually cures most of the problem

too wide yes; but trimming does not cure the excess 17inch pullback problem
my elbows are in my chest when near full lock turns are incurred.......

jt, there are so many options it can be mind boggling. I suggest get a harley parts catalog for free from any hd store just for asking. the reason is, in the handle bar section they list every model they have ever offered, seems like hundreds. In this section they identify all the bars by width, rise, pull back, other criteria. It is a decent start to get an idea of what might work for you. You should be able to cross reference your stock bar dimensions as a baseline and thereby get a sense of what another bar should feel like. I buy all my harley parts at www.chicagoharley.com for 20% off list +no tax. yet.
These are harley stock bagger bars. out, ponch
