Hi all! I would appreciate some help here. I've got a Kawa VN 1600A Classic 2004 model. Ordered a pair of slipons that should fit, but they wouldn't. Once delivered at home I pretty quick discovered that my original exhaust system didn't allow those slipons. Long story in short - after some mailcorrespondence with supplier and sending pictures they informed me that my bike is fitted with a VN 1500 Classic exhaust. After that info I started searching on the web for similar exhaust setup. And, yes, the OEM VN 1500 exhaust is more or less exactly like mine. Today I'm returning the slipons. I'll attach a picture of my bike. Now I have to search for another exhaust setup to replace my original. But now I'm really confused...do I buy something that should fit a VN 1500/1600? Are there any differences between Europe vs US models? Enlight me pls.

I believe the euro 1600 classic came with 1500 classic exhaust. So I think you need to get exhaust intended for 1500 instead of 1600 classic.

Hi! Yep, just what I suspected. Seems like thats the problem when you have a Euro version. I did order a complete exhaust system instead, that should do it.

The stock exhaust I took off my VN1600 is most likely the one you need to put slip ons on the bike. My stock system does not have the catalytic converter that is showing in your photos. Both the pipes on my stock system go straight back into the mufflers and no cat is in the setup. My bike is a 2003 model 1600. I still have them if anyone would be needing them at all. Have them for sale on Craigs for $75.00.
