When I fill up the gas tank on my 09 nomad neither trip A nor trip B trip meter will reset to zero. When i push the S button in for 2 seconds as the manual instructs the entire odometer screen goes blank and after riding for a few minutes i look down and the milage has reappeared. Has
anyone else had this problem?

To reset mine I "push" it to the right, not push it in. Maybe you have misinterpreted the manual's instructions?
Flynn is correct. You hold the s button to the right to reset Odometer. To the left resets avg MPG.

if you hold in the S button it allows you to adjust idle speed, clock and measurement. Ie. KILOMETERS instead of US Miles.

Well I hate to admit it but you are all correct. I'd misread the manual. Thanks for saving me the cost of a new speedometer which the dealer quoted me as $750.00 for parts alone.

I did the same thing when I rode the bike home from Delaware. I just couldn't get it to reset. I thought the switch was bad....then I read the manual...DOH!
