Thunder Beach in the Spring, anyone?

We'll, sitting here, crappy weather, rain. Been searching the ole' inner-web for vacation plans. I've mustva traveled a couple thousand miles from this recliner! Looking forward to seeing the smokies this year. I think I'll put it off till the fall, to see the color show. Haven't traveled there on bikes before. Been a while since last trip with family. Loved rafting the Ocoee River!
We've been over to Panama a couple times for Thunder Beach. Last time was fall, 2013. I've marked my calendar for 2015 spring rally. We usually travel up on Wednesday and stay till Sunday. Hopefully they'll have something new to show us this year. Like seeing the bands, but someone has AC/DC tribute band on redial! Please, not again.
So that leaves spring up for grab. Spring vacation for Easter is early this year. End of March, beginning of April. So, between the cold fronts and storms rolling through, maybe??? Who knows...

I wish you the best of luck enduring the nasty weather. I have been riding all the rides I want to take like Daytona bike week and Tail of the dragon. I almost forgot about Panama City. I hope you can make it. Your friend and fellow rider.

Well, got the room booked for Thunder beach. If anyone is planning to go, rooms are booking up fast! Side note: Just got an enclosed 7X18 cargo trailer with air and awning! Ready to finish inside so we can haul bikes, unload, then have "camper". Done a lot of tent camping, pop up and travel trailer when kids were at home. Now something simple for just the two of us.

Well, it's O.K. I'm just talking to myself. I must be at work!

4 days till Thunder Beach. Heading over Wednesday. Can't believe our good luck with weather. :island: Nice "cool" front coming through just in time. It's been down right steamy here. Had a freaking downpour today. :umbrella:

LMFAO - I think you're gonna have a blast, and with perfect weather! We're actually down in New Orleans, and will be heading north tomorrow. Motorcycle trips are fabulous, but I guess I have to work occasionally! LOL!

And, I never get TOO much response to "rally" threads in this forum, so don't expect much of a reaction! LOL!

Don't tell me you were one of those "mudpuppies" at Jazz Fest yesterday? Man did we get rain! Hope you all had fun, regardless. I think it rains every year.

LOL - no, we didn't go to Jazz Fest. We go for the food, booze, and swinging. LMAO! We actually planned this trip before we realized that it was the weekend of Jazz Fest. The other half lived there once, has tons of family there, and it's kind of a ritual for us. Every year or two, we go down and just have a ball. And, the weather wasn't too bad for the trip down and back!
