Hello All,

Just pulling my bike out for the season after being garaged for the winter. It started up fine, but the throttle wont twist? My first thought is the cable needs to be lubed? Could that be it? Any one else experience this or have any ideas?

Thanks

A seized cable is very possible during storage if proper layup procedures were lax. It is also quite possible that the throttle shaft or throttle grip could be seized.

Is there any movement to the grip at all? If there is grip movement go below and, with a flashlight, look at where the cables connect to the carbs and see if there is any cable movement. If the cable moves then the throttle shaft is stuck.

Hope this helps.

What about if there is no movement in the grip at all?

I do have a service manual. I'm on a trip again when I get back after a few days. I would like to get all my bases covered in terms of trouble shooting and what I can look at to hopefully get it all fixed up in a day or so.
