I just came back from a bike trip today and on the way home I realized my throttle was sticking. Well not sticking per say just not auto returning. I followed the directions in the manual to adjust the free play but had no luck. Any ideas?

I would lube the cable and see if that does it if not pull the air box and clean where the throttle cable connects in there.

+1, If the throttle freeplay is set correctly, lube the cables and check for any place where the cable could be binding like a kinked cable jacket.

Another +1 on lubing the cables. Cable lubing is an oft ignored maintenance item! Usually not touched until it binds, sticks, or snaps!

++1 on cable lube! Moisture gets down in there and can actually cause rust! Annual lubing seems to do quite well in preventing it.
