Getting ready to replace both throttle cables on my 2010 Vulcan 900 custom. Anything I should be aware of in terms of the replacement or removing gas tank or even the type of lube to use? Appreciate your tips in advance.

Regarding replacement: Although I have never replaced my throttle cables, I have gone through the lubing process on my '12 classic. I don't believe it will be necessary to remove the fuel tank, but I may be mistaken. I do believe it will be necessary to remove the air box in order to access the cable ends.

Regarding Lube: IMHO any reputable brand product made specifically for this purpose should serve you well. I chose the Motion Pro product myself and it seems to work fine. A cable lubing tool, although not essential, will greatly simplify the job.
