I want to add a light bar to my 94 VN750. Like to see at night and I live near a lot of road goats. Was trying to figure out if light bars from an 800 or 900 will fit. Also see a flat adapter bar sold on eBay that moves the headlight mount and you add your own lights to. I know this bike has a reputation for a weak electrical system so I was thinking about going that route and using LED driving lights from an auto parts store. Don't know what I would do for a switch in that case though. So I want to do this on the cheap and would like to hear from you guys on this one. Any ideas? And what fits?

Take a look at this thread on an HID conversion for lighting up the wildlife.

Use this kit that lance328 recommends in post 8.

Look at Gemguys thumbnail picture in the opening post. The lights are Optronics from Walmart, but he changed out the 55w bulbs for 20w (# M-16 I think)

The vn750 electrical system has about 70 watts power to spare.

Hope these links give you some ideas. :)

HID looks pretty affordable. from what i can tell my bike has the old headlight instead of the newer one that has removable bulbs. Even looking at the parts fisch I don't see an assembly like mine. Any ideas on where to get a conversion so I can use the newer style?

Well, I was ignorant. It was an H4 lamp after all, replaced it for now. I will probably replace with the HID later. Thinking I will get the high/low beam kit. Does anyone know if the light bar from the VN800 fits a 750? Came across some CREE LED driving lights that put out a bunch of light for 3-5 watts each.
