Hopefully, it comes in fairly light and sporty (relative to other Indians, that is). I rode a chieftain and loved the engine, so the same one in something lighter would be just incredible fun!
Indian has the Scout which is the smaller fun and light, getting great reviews...Hopefully, it comes in fairly light and sporty (relative to other Indians, that is). I rode a chieftain and loved the engine, so the same one in something lighter would be just incredible fun!
Actually, since Polaris took over, the prices on their bikes are right in line with the corresponding Harley model. The new Scout is $10,999 and it's way more fun than any other bike that I've ridden in that category.Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be incredibly overpriced and only someone with deep pockets will be able to afford it.![]()
Um - that's not a recommendation - & I do love the looks of the Indians.Actually, since Polaris took over, the prices on their bikes are right in line with the corresponding Harley model.
I'm probably in the minority here, but that is one fugkly bike.
MS. B;I talked to Indian about this bike last week. They're behind schedule. At this point they have no media demos available, they only have the fleet that was in Chicago this weekend and is headed to Daytona.
Originally, they were saying they would be released this week.
standard vs darkhorse is the same bike. ride one and you'v ridden the other. no need for special demo, except to see the fit n finish.I talked to Indian about this bike last week. RnR, dont be dismayed with the whiney crowd. they would piss n moan about any bike, anything. it is what gives them purpose to exist. w/o the useless noise they generate, they have no reason to live. I am sure, the VV series bikes rec'd much the same kinda background noise.. you made a commitment and then worked thru whatever minor issues you may have encountered, most likely not all.I fell in love with the Indians, especially after I demoed the Chieftain in November 2013. Since then I had it in the back of my mind to get an Indian when I was finished with the Vaq.
I went to the International M/C show in January and ended up spending ALOT of time in the Indian display, and came away with that "new bike bug".
I joined an Indian forum but after spending a few weeks there I picked up on the fact there are ALOT of unhappy Indian owners
The Vaq is 72,000 mls young and it ain't finished with me yet!!

I'm right here with you. I want to puke every time I see one of them. The Victory, too. LOL!I'm probably in the minority here, but that is one fugkly bike.![]()
I don't get it either.I'm probably in the minority here, but that is one fugkly bike.![]()
I've been around a LONG time and know a thing or two. I NEVER noticed nor had any idea that these people were "whiners where their pissin and moanin is what gave them a purpose to exist, generating useless noise that without they have no reason to live". WOW...pretty harsh words that were really not necessary.RnR, dont be dismayed with the whiney crowd. they would piss n moan about any bike, anything. it is what gives them purpose to exist. w/o the useless noise they generate, they have no reason to live. I have first run of the new 111's s/n 837 so am a charter member of the (new)tribe. One year, 4 excursions 12k miles. I have had ZER0 issues with my bike. yeah I could piss in moan that its not this or that or wtf else. it is wat it is and is very much a topshelf machine. poncho
the problem with the Indian forum... its full of indians..
pix 1.Ride home from dealer via blue ridge 3k. 2.Natchez Trace pkwy 3k. 3.Mich copper harbor 3k. 4.Zion NP 3k. only rode it 4 times, 12k smiles sofar
well then I owe you an apology.. you wrote that you were in love on the new ***** ready to commit.. then the indian 4m turned you away.. which leads me to think you really weren't committed to the indian.NONE of the posts and threads on the Indian forum I read had even the slightest derogatory and/or condescending attitude as yours did, so it's a no brainer whose "whine" I'm gonna believe.RACNRAY
