I want to remove the stock tail light and replace with a teardrop or tombstone style. Could some one give me advice and or which aftermarket light to go with. Photos would be great. I am also going to change the rear indicators. Either with mini bullets or low profile side rail.

Cant find the link now, but you can add the tombstone taillight without body work to the fender. You will need the trim piece for the light and file the underside to match the contour of the fender, and it just covers the original mounting place on the fender. Have not done this myself, but read the write up on doing it several years ago. Believe they used Kuryakin parts.

I removed the taillight and turn signals and replaced with a tombstone style ('47-'52 harley I believe.) and bullets all from ebay, mounted thru the side of the fender. Did not use LEDs because it is supposed to look old school. I had to do body work for the tails obviously, and for the tail light. You will need the fender off to solder new wires and you should repaint where drilling any holes.

I dont have many pics of the rear of the bike but this one shows it in the garage.

As rick has posted, you can do no-body work using kury parts, but those are several hundred whereas I have about $80 in mine with the light, bullets, and plate holder. Had the fender off for repaint anyway.
