The only differences you'll find in 900 parts are between models (custom and the two classics). They use different stuff on the forks (lights, wheels, fenders). There is a slight difference in the seat and rear fender as well, but I've heard that custom/classic seats can be interchanged with the use of washers or some other small mod to make the seat click down properly.

Most of the rest of the bike is exactly the same.

I've seen some minor differences. But thought I'd try to start a thread with minor mods.
Modded a brake fluid reservoir and chrome cover. Currently working on fork covers.

I'm thinking about putting a classic tail on my custom because I hate how much of the rear tire you can see and I don't want to lower the bike. Will require rear subframe, tail, and all turning signal parts for Classic because the Custom mounts under the tail and the classic mounts on the tail.

Other than that, I'm no help.
