Spring Maintenance List

Well, I realize it is still winter here in Michigan, but I just bought a new lift and am thinking of spring. This is my first de-winterization since owning the V2K.

What do you all recommend doing to your V2K each spring before your first ride each season?

Thanks, guys!

Probably a billion "list" around the net. Most will be the same..change oil, check fluids, yada yada yada.

There's also stuff you don't need to do every year... How old is your brake fluid? Your coolant?

Now that you have a spiffy lift.. it's easy to tear the bike apart and clean everything.

bio'ped,, you said Recommend. so.. well first thing would be get the f outa mich.. and move someplace south.. 'cept that this year some numnutz (algor) left the door open an all that Polar Bear Air has taken up residency in Tejas.. so mebbe you best just sit tite. if you spot that bass turd, plug a oz of lead in his noggin..

Maintenance: Rule #1. dont put her up dirty.. Rule #2. move south and you dont have to put her up at all, ride all winter, as that (usually) is best weather. Rule #3. when in need of something else/diff to do to ward off cabin fever, jus like the missus, strip her down and have yor way with her.. ie, chop/bob/ratt her out.. the bike you sik one

or you could jus do like I did and GIVE yor v2k to a buddy and get you a new sled.. its like getting a new g'frend. dont tell the missus, she'll think yor still bangin on the old one. poncho
