Hello everyone,

Now that winter is here I'm planning to pull my forks and upper triple tree of and polish the brushed aluminum to a mirrored finish. I would prefer minimal upkeep so I looked into a clear coat of some kind but that had mixed reviews. So then I looked into either ShineSeal (http://www.shineseal.com/index.htm) or Opti Coat (http://opti-coat.net/) to protect them from oxidizing and requiring less upkeep.

Has anyone tried either of these products after polishing their lowers or any other part?

Thanks in advance!

I originally thought about chroming them but cost is changing my mind since I'm still in college. I'm pulling them because I rather work inside where it's warm then in my non heated garage during a Chicago winter lol

The cost of chroming them really isn't that bad! And, if you're already gonna pull them off . . .
