@Frittson
There's a "mode" button and "select" button. Well, they're called different things in different countries.

One button changes from the odometer -> trip1 -> trip2 , etc. Press that one until it's at ODO. Then press and hold both of them for at least two seconds. Then the codes will show up on the dash. If there is more than one they will flash and cycle.
Thanks. I tried that before and nothing happened so I guess that means no codes? I was just confused about the "upper" part as they are both in line horizontally ;)

During my debacle of disconnecting my throttle position sensor I found the following info that may be useful

How To Read Service Codes:

Turn on ignition.
Push the upper meter button to display the odometer.
Push the upper meter button and left meter button for more than 2 seconds.
The service code is displayed on the LCD instead of odometer. Multiple codes will be displayed in a sequence with the interval of 2 seconds.
Turn on/turn off the ignition to return the display to the normal operation mode.

How To Erase Service Codes:

Turn on the ignition and start the engine.
Keep the idling more than 30 seconds.
Run the bike for more than 5 minutes at a speed of 25 mph or more.
Stop. Turn the ignition switch off.
Repeat the above procedures 3 times.
