I read in another post that raising the idle speed a little helps with the popping. I want to adjust mine but can't find the adjustment knob. Where is it located?

on the 900 its right behind the intake. I can't speak for the 1700, but its worth checking it out.

Thanks. That's where it was located on my vn2000. I quickly looked today but plan to take another look tomorrow.

It's done electronically on the 1700. Just read your owners Manuel.
Let me know if you can't find it.
