Looking for some risers for a classic lt with mustang seat. That would raise the bars about 1 inch and back about 1 inch. Anyone making some that will do that?? I currently have some that do 1.5 inches up and back 2 inches. Which is to much for me. If I roll the bar up I have to cock my wrist out and they hurt. Bars to close. If I roll the bars down I get neck pain which is the same with the stock risers. So I am hoping some 1" risers will do the trick

Check Ebay seller name puredrivecustoms They sell a 2" riser that is just a spacer and it moves it about 1" up and 1" back. I love mine and about $17 shipped and includes hardware to mount in 10 minutes. Here is the sellers link. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kawasaki-2-Vulcan-Nomad-Handlebar-Risers-800-1500/200603868893?_trksid=p2050601.c100272.m3467&_trkparms=aid=111001&algo=REC.SEED&ao=1&asc=20140717092400&meid=8567696863466465160&pid=100272&prg=20140717092400&rk=1&rkt=4&sd=200603868893&clkid=8567699606180434209&_qi=RTM1562569

I have been considering. Both of these options. Thanks for the links.

Dirtwiz if that is a 2" spacer would it not raise the bars 2 inchs. I guess I am asking how tall or long is that spacer?

Ol school any pics of the genmar on your classic 900?

I think they are exactly 2" but they are not straight up....they are at the angle of the forks so slanting back....they give you the ability to tilt your bars to a position that is further back or up....you will know the sweet spot for your best comfort when you adjust them. You wouldn't think 2" would make much difference but with the bar adjustment it really does.

Not sure if I like the genmar due to it being polished aluminum. Chrome aluminum chrome Not sure if I would like the look of that. But I think the rise and pullback sounds good.

The ebay ones are 2 inches. The seller won't make any other sizes at this time. I think 2 inch would be to much. Since I have a windshield bag and I am concerned on where the top of the risers would be. Hitting the bag, opening the bag, ect

Did some looking and stumbled on these made by la chopper Not sure which size I would order. Thinking I would want them for the 1 inch bars being are stock riser is a 1 inch base but not sure. http://www.lachoppers.com/search/index.html?searchtype=products&query=riser+extension&go.x=0&go.y=0

The Genmar risers are highly polished and a little work with some Semichrome polish makes them almost look like chrome. And the top of the triple tree has the aluminum look and don't take away from the chrome handlebars IMHO.

Well I ordered the genmars today. Hope they work for me. Here the thread that helped talk me into it. Besides ol school. That and I know the aluminum polished parts will last much longer then a chrome plated part. Since chrome likes to pit after time. http://www.vulcanforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69242&page=2

ol school are you talking like some mother aluminum polish?? It is the k112?

Yes it is the K112. Mother's Aluminum polish will work. You may be surprised and they may shine to your liking out of the package and not have to polish them.

What is the best way to take off the chrome covers on handlebar riser caps without scratching so you can get to bolts that are holding the bars. I am thinking maybe a small screw driver but I have never done it.

the easiest way I found was a razor knife. they come out fairly easy once you get something thin enough between the cap and housing

I made my own risers out of 1.25" aluminum round stock. they ended up about 2.25" rise and had no issues with cables. I think you could get away with 2.5" before you have any cable/wiring issues.
