We've added 4" risers to my wife's 07 900 LT. They are great, however, it appears that we need to relocate the wires from the handle bars from the front of the tree to the rear of the tree. Has anyone done this? What is the easiest way to relocate these wires?

Thanks

They are Phatrisers II. It appears there are a couple of choices to reroute the wires,

1. Remove all of the components from the handle bars and feed them under the plate of the steering column.
2. Remove the steering column itself.

Has anyone done this? Which is easier?

Thanks.

I haven't done it, but on the scootworks.com website there is an installation link. That document says:

*** In the event you need to reroute (not 1700s) cables or hoses (Kawasaki cables and hoses vary in length a bit), here's how we do it in the shop ***

Lift the front of the bike so there is no weight on the front wheel.

Remove the center pivot nut from the triple tree.

Loosen the pinch bolt on each side of the top triple tree.

Lift the triple tree up and off of the front end.

Pull the cables/wiring/hoses behind the triple tree.

Reinstall in reverse order.

I just added 4" risers a few weeks ago. The only thing that needed relocating were the throttle cables and clutch cable. All others stayed where they were just fine.
