Has anyone removed this plastic guard I cut it gown some to eliminate rubbing but if i got rid of it I could go to the 3 inch drop that i like so much Could removing that guard do horrible things to the bike I dont ride in any rain if i can help it I just dont know if it would really hurt anything Thanx

Mostly it is there to protect the shock, battery, wiring and fuse panel from debris, water and spray. If you dont ride in rain you may be ok, otherwise corrosion issues may arise. Like others have said, its there for a reason.

i know its there for a reason Although i dont ride in the rain and my bikes garage kept and babied I dont think im gonna take it off but i did cut it down to the top bolts that hold it on Thats where it was rubbing

I took my fender liner off when I installed my 2" lowering kit over a year ago. No issues with anything yet and I don't really expect any. Of course I don't drive in the rain much but I have been caught out a time or two.
