On my 2010 Vulcan Voyager 1700, there are lights under the speed, clock, etc display...for like the cruise control on, cruise control set, and then there is another light to the right that is red. Mine comes on everytime I start my bike and does not go off lately for 30 to 60 seconds. What is this warning light for and what do and what should I look at to make sure things are ok? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated :serious:

Low oil or pressure. Very bad. Use proper oil and especially filter for that model bike. Nomad filters need a backpressure valve. Or, your pump is bad or ports are clogged.

According to my 2017 Vaquero manual the oil light should not stay on above idle. If this only comes on at idle, check your idle setting (have you lowered the idle?), check the oil level. Remember, you can't just dip the stick, it's a whole process. Don't do it from memory, get your manual out.

The red light indicates one of 3 possible problems. Fuel injection fault, low oil pressure, or low battery voltage.
Look above the light, do you see FI, or an oil pan, or a battery.
As mentioned it's most likely battery, check connections first but if the battery is original you need a new one.

I still need to check the items that have been listed here, thank you. But I also have timed light better and it's seems like only about 8 maybe 9 seconds on after starting my bike
