Want to know about you guy's experience with header wrap. I have a 900 custom with the header wrap. Want to find out if I'm putting my bike at risk at all. I live in Houston if that helps

It helps hold the heat in the pipes, in theory keeping it off you and speeding up, or rather keeping the exhaust from slowing as much. I think it does help hold heat in and off your legs. Although possible, I've never heard of it happening is the heat may cause cracking in the pipe, this was an issue on the intereor pipe on the 800s even without the wrap. The only real down side only applies if you ride in the rain or the bike sets in the rain, and that is the steam that comes off the exhaust the 1st few minutes once the wrap gets wet.
