Tore down my carbs and cleaned them really good, runs good for a little while then like crap. Would excess pressure in the tank cause it to run poorly and die. When it dies it takes a while to in ok restart.
More likely, you have a plugged vent that is reducing pressure in the tank, from your description. Could be a plugged gas tank vent hose or a bad gas cap. Gas is being removed, but air can't get in to replace it.
Open gas cap and leave open and see if problem goes away.
The caps on these are know to get plugged up.
The vent for the tank is through the gas cap.
When you stop after a ride a whinning tank means its venting correctly!
