Does anyone else have this "issue?" I have found, consistently and embarrassingly, that if I preload the shifter (usually 2nd to 3rd) the bike does not change.

Do I need to adjust my riding style, or is this something I can fix by adjusting the clutch or the shifter?

Preloading is a holdover from my CB360, trying to quickshift for faster pickup when pulling out into traffic or getting on the highway.

Adjust your riding style. You must remove any pressure from shifter before upshifting into next gear. :)

My own experience on a Honda Magna V4 is that preloading the shifter causes the cluth to slip...it does not slip otherwise...Only saying
