Hi guys
Anyone have any issues with the portawalls on their tyres? Much cheaper alternative for whitewalls. $70 for both tyres.
Easy to install yourself?
Thanks

I have fitted them to two bikes now and have had no dramas at all. Fitment is easy. Deflate the tyre, fit the ring and push it into the bead up to the line. Inflate tyre slowly checking as you go that they are not pushing out of the bead. Once they are locked in and the bead has popped into place, inflate to operating pressure

Hey OZ, I remember seeing your bike in the Feb BOTM and didn't notice you had flappers on. The bike looks awesome.:good: Good job. But if you had to lose, glad it was to another Aussie.:D Greeneggs bike's pretty sweet too.

I watched a few youtube clips and the flappers do seem pretty easy to install. It might be more for cars, but I read that they tend to flap in the wind, do you find that OZ?

Cheers

Mate, I haven't really had any issues like that. My brother had some on a car and they did flap a bit the these are a lot narrower than the car ones and I think they tend to hug the sidewall a bit better. Mine a really tight against the tyre.
Cheers

I fitted these to my vn800 bobber, they totally transformed the look of the tyres, and were easy to fit. No problems with flapping, but you may have to choose your chain lube carefully, coz the one side will get spattered easy!!
