I am thinking of selling my...

2009 Vulcan 900 LT Burgandy and Platinum

Mustang Studded Seat

Lindby Highway Bars "Linbar"

Cool Chrome Cup Holder

Wagner 80/100 Watt Headlight Bulb.

Brand New Set of Pirelli Night Dragons with a 200 on the rear

The bike has 4900 miles and is perfect, never been dropped

Never had a problem, Always taken care of.

What do you think I could get for it. And what should I ask for it.

Not sure Im selling but I may need to.

Any opinions appreciated.

Yep

I know it's a great bike, but I have a disc problem in my back.

And with the forward foot postion if I ride it over about 30 minutes.

My back starts giving me fit's. So the other day I rode my friends

Yamaha FJR1300 (sport cruiser) and had no pain at all because the seating

position is totally different. So now I'm thinking a Kawi Concours 14 may

be the ticket.

Concours is a sweet ride ! Have that engine in my Jet Ski, and it's a freakin "pull your arms off" Bear !!!

As to the Question. Sell the Lindby and Mustang seperate, should get $400 - 450 here on this site.

Ask 6k, take anything over 5.2 Just not alot of cash buyers out there.

I've been looking for a VN1500 since February. About 20 have been listed in my area. 3 have sold. The rest are asking too much. My budget is 5k.

The problem is, veteran riders add up how much their required mods are going to add to the cost. The "entry" level 900 buyers don't include those at all. Remember, as much as you think you made the "right" mods to a bike, the other guy is not going to agree with you, or pay for them. Rare that you will pitch right to a buyers wheel house.

Not sure if this helps, but I bought my 08 Custom in April for $4,800 and it had 8k miles on it with engine crash guard, Cobra Fi2000, and Cobra Dragster pipes. And this was from a dealership.

To be honest, the foot position on my Vulcan 800 is giving my lower bike fits, too. I saw a picture in a recent thread in the 800 section and the rider was using his 800's rear pegs for highway traveling. While not the absolute best riding position, I've been trying it lately, for only a few miles at a time, and it does help alleviate some of the stress... but, overall, I've been living with a sore and stiff back for the past few weeks, so I agree with your assessment of the seating position vs. the legs... it puts the back under a load of stress.
