Perfection

In anything at all, perfection is finally attained not when there is no longer anything to add, but when there is no longer anything to take away.

Antoine de Saint-Exupery

This kinda my approach to my bike, and things in general. The only time my windshield is on is if it's cold or I'm traveling. If the better half isn't riding with me, the pillion seat comes off. The only reason I keep the saddlebags on is that I ride to work and need someplace for my lunch.

That's too deep. I need more beer to understand it better.

I am on the same page. But now that I've bought a bike that had a one piece Corbin Dual Tour and Beetlebags I don't go solo look and the bags look good so that's as far as I'll strip it down. The windshield still comes off. :)
How does removing the windshield affect your mpg?

No idea yet (already winter when I bought it). I can say that on my last V2K it went up slightly with the Switchblade Deflector shield installed and down slightly with the giant 2up shield installed. I assume a similar result with the Beetlebags not having too much drag.

Highway riding of course.

Sounds like something from a Cheech and Chong movie.....
"Perfection"(beauty, etc.) is in the eye of the beholder..............
Just don't let perfection get in the way of good.
