Can someone explain, in layman terms, what the ign map on the PC5 does? I have a PC5 w/ign but been running a map with the ign map zero'ed out. Can I make adjustments based on throttle response or should I just leave alone. I like my current map but have mini pops or pinging on decel.

thanks

Any number above 0 will represent degrees in advance over stock. A 0 ignition map simply means nothing is changed from stock setting. You need to know what you're doing when advancing timing.
An engine can really be hurt if given too much advance. A dyno testing with a qualified operator is the best way to get both maps made.
I've got a mild ign map I made for myself that you can have if you want.

I am running anywhere from 0 degrees to 10 degrees advance currently at different rpms and throttle positions, but like David said it is better and safer to have a qualified Tuner adjust for you, unless you like to live on the edge like me.I run 87 Octane fuel now with no ping so far that I can hear.

Running 87 octane with no ping sounds good. I'm a everyday rider and go through a tank every 3 days. Hoping to fine tune my current map (plenty of go) with an ign table.

thanks
