I have a 2012 Voyager 1700. Looking to put a passenger cup holder on for my son & wife to use. But the passenger area just doesn't have anywhere to mount one where it won't be in the way, that I can find anyway. Has anyone solved this problem on the Voyager?

I have thought about adding the GoldWing arm rests with the holders built in to the trunk, but seems like a lot of work. And with talk of the thin plastic of the trunk I'm concerned about durability. Looking for ideas.

Here's another idea, if you're really, really brave. What if an appropriate sized hole was drilled in the top of the saddlebag, and a cup with a lip inserted into the hole, and sealed to prevent water intrusion?

I have the 900LT and had a similar issue. Found no nice place to put a passenger cup holder I had to mount 2 leather ones up on both sides of the bars next to the windshield. Now she just let's me know when she needs a drink. Not quite what your looking for I know, but it's an option if you have the space to mount them. The only complaint I have with the leather ones are they are only big enough to hold bottled water, or basically any bottle that has the width of a can.

The leather ones I put on LT are these:

I also used these on my Harley for time:

But I eventually went with the Kuryakyn mirror mount and bar mount cup holders (they look much better and also fit my application better) pLus they are plenty big to hold most any size drink:

Here's where I put the passenger holder on my Harley. (see pic) Worked out well putting it on the passenger grab rail for her. There is still enough room for me to open my saddle bag lid too. But the only vulcan I know of that has these grab rails is the Nomad and they are hard to come by to purchase. I know I looked hard to get some to mod for my 900. Couldn't find any available. Anyways these may give you some ideas. Good luck!

I have a bottle holder made by Bamabrat of the vulcanbagger forums - They mount nicely to the saddlebag guard rails. I love them! When I ride two up I have one bottle holder on each side . . .solo, I put the bottle holder on the left side and pouch on the right . . . For Pics see post #6 in this thread:
