Noticed my oil light stays on for just a sec after start up since my last oil change, or maybe it's always done this and I just didn't notice. Oil level is good, maybe a tad too high but not above the top line on the sight glass. Seems to do it when cold or hot and it goes off within a second at the most. Anybody else notice this? Thanks.

This is normal. According to the manual, if the light stays on above idle speed, there is an issue.

Didn't think about the filter but I'm using the Kawi one and never had a bad filter from them. I'm using Mobil 1 10w/40 full synthetic. It's like u said Classtom, it's just a sec then it goes right out. Usually when i't already warm and it kicks over on low idle. The only reason it came to my attention really is that I never recall it happening before. I was just wondering out of all the Vulcan 900's here how many had that same thing. As long as it goes right out I'm not worried about it.
