Wait - your stator is bad, by the regulator is fine? Why do you need a new regulator, then?

As far as replacing the stator, I'd go with the Rick's (I did). If the Reg. tests good, well, it's good. Don't replace it. If you have bucks you just don't know what to do with, or if it will give you piece of mind to replace the Reg., as well, go for it. As far as the regulator is concerned, I have no personal experience with OEM or Rick's brand replacements. However, I recall reading on this Forum some have had issues with the Rick's Regulator. Do a search and maybe that will confirm or disprove that statement.

I say if the regulator checks out good....then use it. There have been people here have a Rick's regulator fail so kind of a crap shoot anyway.

Or replace the reg. and keep your old one for a spare for a little peace of mind.

I'd use caution here. To my understanding, a failing regulator can cause the stator to fail. If some of the Rick's regulators have issues, you could be repeating the stator replacement again. Just my opinion, but I think sticking with the original regulator would be fine, but if you want to replace it, I'd go with another OEM regulator.

Testet before and after i put it in. All good.
But there are no extra points to ricks for looks.
It looks like it is made in a kindergarden.
Hope it last.
