Kawasaki doesn't offer the lowers for the V2K windshield any more. Anyone use a different lower that works well? So far I haven't found any sellers that have them in stock................

It's easy to fab a set.
I just modified a set of chrome hardly lowers to fit my V2K
national cycle.

Order part number 99994-0160. They fit a 2012 classic 1700. You have to slot one of the bolt holes less than 1/8 if an inch on each side. Look just like the ones made for the 2000.
Just to clarify, which V2K do you have?

classic or freight train?

it actually does make a difference in what is available.
The part number I gave in the earlier post works on the classic lt
I have the Vulcan Classic. I had a National Cycle windshield but it was cracking so I got the OEM Kawasaki windshield but they don't sell the lowers now. I may try the ones posted here. The ones on the National windshield won't work.............:D

I just put a set of these on mine. If you loosen and move the upper shield mount as far as it will go on the front of the forks, you won't have to slot any holes, and they will bolt up correctly.

Glad they worked out well. Did you have to notch them or not?

Yes, I took the original mounting straps off and used it as a guide and notched them slightly..............:D
There is a long chrome strip on each side that Kawi used to cover the slots of the windshield bracket. Mine were missing, but if you get rid of that you don't have to notch the new 1700 lowers. Since the lowers cover that area anyway, I see no need to keep them.
