Sucks that your bike got stolen U use a caliper alarm lock keeps the bike from rolling and emits a loud pitch alarm in addition to the fork lock if parking my bike out of town. The summer time in southern AZ can be brutal. I live way in in the north eastern corner. Not quite 4 corners but not far from it. Less heat in the summer but cold wet and snowy winters. 12 degrees here this week in the mornings.
Yea about 50 miles south. Near holbrook. Grand canyons a little over 2 hour ride, panted desert and petrified forest are a favorite ride. Avoid phoenix whenever possible the divers there are nut jobs.
Never had to avoid so many whack jobs. The rest of the state is pretty awesome and the mountains in he summer time are fantastic when riding through the pines. Just be careful at night big critters elk, deer and even horses or cows crossing the road will make for a bad night if your not watching.
