New Light Kit Option for the 1700 nomad
As I posted a few weeks ago I have been working with Joe Norris of Chuckster's Customs in the design of an aftermarket light kit option for the 1700 nomad.
It is finished. He just listed them on his site. I have ordered mine and look forward to installing in time for this horrible weather to break.
$275.00 for everything including install kit and detailed instructions

to bad I bought a Kawasaki one last year that looks good.

Thanks for keeping us updated. Let us know what you think of the assembly and the ease of installation. I think I am going to order a set for Spring as well, if Spring ever gets here. We have had about 8 feet of snow this month with about two days, one today, above freezing! Worst February on record!

I should get mine in a couple weeks as they are just starting production. I will let everyone know.
So this has a new bracket that mounts to the shield bolts, correct?

Yes the brackets bolt on with longer shield bolts.

It looks like you are unable to lower the windshield to it's lowest point.

That is correct, the windshield will be appox 1" taller than the lowest position

I'm open for suggestions in rendering the design if it can be changed
The way I see it right now the shield does need to be up slightly to gain some clearance

Raising the windshield some would not bother me. I have mine up some now so the windshield bag is not resting on the risers.
I have sets of brackets going into chrome now, so kits will be available end of next week to ship
