Just finished replacing the clutch friction plates on my '99 classic and can't believe the difference. Especially with the addition of Judges washes and the meanstreak spring. I brought this bike back from the dead with Judges oil gear 2 years ago and it was runnin fine but didn't like the way the clutch felt. It was engaging way too late and had a grabby feel to it. when I got it apart I noticed the last friction plate was put on incorrectly but I changed all the friction plates anyway. I also took the opportunity to adjust the shifter to my liking while I was at it which everyone should do. I have a heel and toe, not sure if it came that way from the factory, but I never liked it. Now I do. It feels like a new bike! I owe a lot of thanks to the forum because without the info I've received my bike would have been gone a long time ago. I've been away from the forum for a while and its good to be back.
