Just thought I would pass this along. I saw a brand new 2005 V2K limited edition with a windshield reduced to $9,100. It was at a dealer in Poplar Bluff, Mo. It was on St. Louis Craig's list. It supposedly has a full 1 year kawasaki warranty. Is this a good price?
I just bought a 2008 V2K Classic LT leftover (Brand new bike, no miles) in New York at LI Kawasaki for 9400.00 So for a 2005 it actually is kind of Hi. You can find a better deal out there, keep looking. I didnt even negotiate, that was what they were asking.
My dealer has a 2008 v2k for about 8800, I paid 9400 obviously because the LT comes fully loaded with bags, windshield and backrest, point being that there are great prices out there right now and it pays to shop around. Good idea with printing ads from other dealers and bringing them with you. You can also get a slightly used bike, hardly broken in for thousands less than MSRP so now is the time to get a bike and remember, Go BIg, bigger the better. I love my V2K classic LT.
Cheron, what did you start out with? My wife"never" drove a motor bike, just mopeds. I started her out on a 900 LT. then pried her on my 2000. I think she liked the power rush. Got her license, then drove her 900 for awhile. We hot doge, she needed more[power to kep up, We bought another, now we have 2 V2K's. Thetare bulky at slow speed, but handle like a 900 at higher ground speed
Two days ago I bought a brand new 2008 V2K Custom LT with ZERO miles on it for $8999.
This bike has the full 2-year Kawi warranty and, while I don't normally buy extended warranty, I did buy the 48-month GTTP and the dealer matched the best price I found on that I showed him from Ebay.
gillyiowa, I started out on a 450 honda rebel then a 1100 yamaha(which was too big) next a500vulcan and the 900lt I'm trading in on the 2000lt. Thanks for the input.
