Stupid problem and a question :(
I have no bulb which indicates the neutral gear position. (I would like to have one.) There's no even a hole for it in a speedometer housing. So, I'm not sure that I have a neutral position switch. Can somebody please point me with a picture where the neutral switch should be located? And how should it look like on VN800A (1997)?

Thanks!

I don't have a 97 model but I do have 98 model. The neutral light is in the speedometer head it's self. not the housing. Next to the high beam indicator light. You can find the neutral switch in the center of the case at the back, up about two inches from the bottom of the housing. You can find the switch in the parts picture that has the shift drum, forks etc. at any place that sells parts for these bikes. Hope this helps.
