So i just hit 10k on my 12'vn900classic se. i have to say that these have been to most enjoyable 10k mi ive ever been on the road. My 900 is the first street bike that ive owned and alot of time went into my choosing my first bike. boy am i glad i went with the 900. What a fantastic bike to ride. Only expirence riding until i got my ride was on dirt bikes. The 900 was really great to get started on and i quickly became extremely comfortable on her. I mainly bought her for commuting, but now is really my only meansof transportation. I have 2 other vehicals but cannot bare to miss a day of riding. this is apparent by it only taking 8 and a half months to hit 10k mi. ive learned so much from evetybody on this forum, which is important being i do all my own maintance. thanks to everybody that has chimed in on my threads with valuable info. I wish i could figure out how to post pics from my phone, my nine is far from stock. someday i'll buy another computer and get plenty of pics up. heres to many many years of safe riding on our 9's. i cant ever imagine letting her go. im sure im going to keep her forever. Ride safe my friends

Congratz on the bike and htting the first 10K. The 900 will serve you well, just keep up on the periodic maintenance. There are reports of some hiting 100K on their 900's on this forum.

I also use mine as a daily commuter (105 miles roundtrip daily).

Ride safe and ride smart.

My '11 just hit 8300 miles. I can only ride 3 of the 4 season here in the midwest. Do our 9's need the 'valve' adjustment at around 15k?
